Abadi agrees to form a force of 30 thousand fighters from Anbar

Shafaq News / Sheikh of Dulaim clan, Majid Ali al-Sulaiman revealed that the Prime Minister , Haider al-Abadi pledged during a meeting with tribal leaders in Anbar in his visit to Jordan

to accept the adaptation of 30 thousand fighters from the sons of Anbar tribes in the framework of the national crowd."

Sulaiman said that "the meeting of tribal leaders of Anbar with Abadi was a good meeting during which examined the situation in Anbar province and in all governorates of Iraq and how we can face ISIS and win."

He added that "among the most important discussed issues during the meeting is the issue of returning the displaced people to their areas , facilitate their return and ensure that the requirements and compensate them for what they have lost."

Sulaiman stressed that "Abadi agreed to adapt 30-thousand fighters from Anbar tribes so that each clan of the province would have a share of this number as the government must train and arm them."

Asked whether this number is the (National Guard) to be formed , Sulaiman said that "this number is not connected with the National Guard, but we called it as the private national crowd to fight ISIS from the people of the province, on condition to supply these fighters with weapons and train them also. "

Sulaiman pointed out that "we also discussed with the Prime Minister , the border with Syria, control and stop the infiltration and entry and exit , we also asked to intensify air sorties against ISIS and their whereabouts because this is the only way to defeat them ," adding that "the most important in thing we asked is credibility in implementation of the promises. "
